The hypothesis

A hypothesis is an assumption from a thought process or an observation that generates predictions, which may or not be refutable. A study is carried out to determine whether the assumption is an exact description of the relationship between the various phenomena being explored.

In general, the approach of a null hypothesis is taken: that there is no association between the factor being studied and the judgment criteria. In contrast, in an alternative hypothesis, there is an association between the factor being studied and the judgment criteria.
