a. Searching on Internet PubMed

Besides being free of charge, PubMed has several advantages:

  • The journals that are referenced are essentially those which have published peer-reviewed articles screened by recognized experts in the field.
  • The search strategies of articles offered by PubMed are highly efficient, thanks to its complete thesaurus and the available option of combining keywords.
  • PubMed provides access to English-language abstracts of practically all of the original articles that are referenced (less frequently for general publications and case reports).
