In any of the preceding steps, was the validity of a study greatly or moderately undermined (internal validity)? What are the conclusions of the authors? Did the conclusions answer the questions? Are the findings applicable to the studied population (external validity)? .

More importantly, can the reviewer apply the results to his or her own research ? Do the results incite the reviewer to change his or her approach and ultimately bring a benefit to patients?
