3. Transcription
3.1 The transcription unit
Transcription is the process of obtaining an RNA copy from a gene stored on a DNA strand.
The transcription unit is the DNA segment located between the transcription initiation site and the transcription termination site.
The segment is transcribed in a single process by the enzyme, RNA Polymerase.
