3.4 Elongation of transcription

RNA polymerase moves along the anti sense strand and polymerise nucleotides at the 3‘ end of RNA. RNA elongates from 5' to 3'.

RNA Polymerase uses the anti sense strand as a template.

DNA opens upstream from RNA polymerase and locks downstream from RNA polymerase.

This forms the transcription bubble.
