4.3 Intron splicing

Conserved sequences are found at both the beginning and end of introns (GU and AG).

The 3' end of exon 1 binds to the 5' end of exon 2, and the intron is eliminated.

Intron splicing is made possible by a ribo-nucleoproteic complex named spliceosome containing proteins and snRNAs.
