3.4 “Universal” precautions applied to the specific cases of Ebola

  • Always work in pairs

  • Wear full clothing (mask, goggles, bouffant cap, boots, lab coat, apron etc.)

  • Double pair of gloves for each patient

  • Do not go directly from one suspected case to another (potential to contaminate a non-infected suspected case with an infected suspected case)

  • Put off (doff) clothing and equipment with the uttermost care

  • Abide by the flow direction indicated to move through the isolation ward
