Primary receptacle
The sample-containing tube should be put in a bag with an absorbing cloth
The container which directly contains the samples should be leak-proof and waterproof
If it is a tube, it should be hermetically sealed/capped and held in vertical position in a rack
2ndary packaging
The bag is put in a well closed pot
If refrigeration is necessary, verify that it is done in a proper manner so that the cold chain is respected and the transportation safety ensured (for example: Insert an “Ice pack” in the UN 2814 boxes provided by Emball Infor company)
3rd packaging
Finally, put the pot in a cardboard box
