3.5 Continuous and discontinuous replication

Continuous replication: leading strands

Qnly 2 new strands can be created (leading strands) from the 1st primer.

At the other end of the primers, the polymerase is incapable of synthesizing, since it cannot add a nucleotide at the 5' end of a primer, only at the 3' end.
