Each base is bonded to a deoxyribose to form a nucleoside.
Pyrimidine forms a covalent bond between the nitrogen 1 and the 1' carbon of the deoxyribose.
Purine forms a covalent bond between the nitrogen 9 and the 1' carbon of the deoxyribose.
Difference between Nucleosides and Nucleotides:
When a nucleoside is bonded to one or several phosphate groups, it is called a nucleotide.
